KMB Elderly Fun Day
Invited by KMB, our service users participated in the Elderly Fun Day event on the 29th of this month. In addition to touring the bus depot and admiring various buses, they also enjoyed a classic song appreciation session, singing along to nostalgic hits. Finally, our service users took photos with an antique bus and played games!
Training Courses for Dementia Care
With the generous support from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant, JCCPA continues to organise the training programme for caregivers.
The second seminar of this year, titled “Oral Health, Nutrition, and Meal Planning,” was successfully held on 22 March. It was led by our Senior Training Consultant Dr. Maria Chui. She engaged with over 116 family members to discuss oral hygiene and nutrition, as well as to explain how to design healthy meals for dementia caregivers.
Jockey Club Centre for Positive Ageing regularly organizes care technique courses for caregivers, providing effective solutions and support tailored to their needs and challenges. This aims to alleviate the pressures faced by caregivers and foster mutual understanding and companionship.

New Season of Courses on the EDU Platform Launchess
In June 2023, the Centre launched Hong Kong’s first comprehensive online learning platform for dementia: EDU. This platform offers various courses that share knowledge and care skills related to dementia through videos and interactive exercises in an engaging and accessible manner. Users can explore dementia knowledge flexibly anytime and anywhere. Each course provides notes to help users grasp key points and review care tips.
The platform has now launched a new season of course content, offering “Online Support Course for Dementia Caregivers” (iSupport for Dementia in Chinese). Interested individuals can learn more and enroll in the courses at:https://edu.jccpa.org.hk/course/
