Training Courses for Dementia Care

With the generous support from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant, JCCPA continues to organise the training programme for caregivers.

The first seminar of this year, titled “Exercise Suitable for People with Dementia and Caregivers,” was successfully held on 15 February. It was led by our Senior Physiotherapist Mr. Ben Chan, who shared with over 110 family members the types of exercises that can enhance the mobility of people with dementia. He also explained important safety considerations for exercising with people with dementia.

The Jockey Club Centre for Positive Ageing regularly organizes care technique courses for caregivers, providing effective solutions and support tailored to their needs and challenges. This aims to alleviate the pressures faced by caregivers and foster mutual understanding and companionship.
