Training Courses for Dementia Care
With the generous support from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant, JCCPA continues to organise the training programme for caregivers.
The “Three Instruments of Peace” training was successfully conducted by guest speaker, Solicitor Ms Olivia Leung on 17 August. Ms Leung shared the knowledge on Wills, Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) and Advance Directive (AD) with more than 163 participants. Ms Leung also answered various questions from the caregivers, such as whether EPA and AD arranged in Hong Kong are applicable to assets and properties in the Mainland, thus giving the caregivers more understanding on the “Three Instruments of Peace”.
Registration for the caregiver training course in September 2024 is now open. The September session will be held on 21 September (Saturday) at 10:00 am by our Senior Training Consultant, Dr Maria Chui will share about “Oral Health, Nutrition and Meal Design”. Please visit the following website to register: https://www.jccpa.org.hk/s/20240809-CGTR
JCCPA offers regular training courses for family caregivers, focusing on equipping them with the skills and tactics to take care of people with dementia effectively and providing valuable solutions to caring difficulties. This may help relieve the pressure of family members and help them go on the care journey with empathy.
