Celebrating the Year of the Rabbit
JCCPA organised two special parties to celebrate the coming of Year of the Rabbit with the elder members. The party started with telling the origin and stories of Chinese New Year. Then, the elders made handicraft of koi fish together with our frontline staff. This is a very good activity for reality orientation activity and fine muscle training. Also, koi fish represents wealth, health, luck and happiness, which we would like to bring these blessing to our elderly. While they were enjoying traditional food such as turnip cake and sesame doughnuts, our staff dressed up as the God of Wealth to deliver new year blessings and presents to them. Smile could be seen from their face, what a wonderful day it was!

Jockey Club Caring Communities for Dementia Campaign
In January, ibeacon were distributed by courier so that everyone can apply our service at their own place. Simultaneously, online videos and teaching materials were prepared for caregivers to complete the application as well as getting know more about dementia. In this month, there were around 30 caregivers received ibeacon.
